DougM

It's a diverse hobby, some paint, some collect, some play and some rebase...
Too true, Doug.

I received my 2023 Annual the other day. I was most impressed by the article on Ayton. The mug shots of the attendees were a worry, though.

I'm two more regiments closer to finishing the flippin' Reichsarmee: The Pfalz 'Effern' Regiment and the Upper Rhenish 'Pfalz-Zweibrucken' Regiment:

Currently under the brush are the two single-battalion Cologne regiments and waiting in the wings are four battalions of grenadiers, some guns, the Franconian 'Cronegk' Regiment (2 bns), the Pfalz 'Kurfurstin' Dragoon Regiment and a composite dragoon regiment made up from the tiny 'Wurttemberg' and Sachsen-Gotha' Regiments.

I was going to call it a day at that point, but I'm now tempted to get the last remaining Reichsarmee regiments (the ones who did very little or nothing at all apart from garrison-duty); the 'Nassau-Weiburg', 'Ernestinisch-Sachsen', 'Mengerson' 'Nagel' and 'Elverfeldt' Regiments...

Very smart chaps there, most impressive. More impressive though the list of waiting chaps in the queue...
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Lovely figures, mate, the Effern are a favourite. Once you finish the Reichsarmee you could always start on the Hanseatic cities. The Bremen regiment looks spiffy in Prussian style red with white facings.

Cheers! Most of those are single-battalion regiments, so it's not too bad. The 'Completed' list is a bit better:
Kurbayern Regt (3 bns)
Kurmainz Regt (4 Bns)
Kurtrier Regt (2 Bns)
Furstenberg Regt (2 Bns)
Alt-Wurttemberg Regt (1 Bn)
Salzburg Regt (1 Bn)
Hessen-Darmstadt Regt (1 Bn)
Varell Regt (2 Bns)
Ferntheil Regt (2 Bns)
Pfalz Leibgarde Regt (1 Bn)
Wurzburg Red Regt (2 Bns)
Wurzburg Blue Regt (2 Bns)
Mainz-Lamberg Regt (2 Bns)
Baden-Baden Regt (2 Bns)
Baden-Durlach Regt (1 Bn)
Pfalz-Zweibrucken Regt (2 Bns)
Combined Grenadiers (1 Bn)
Bavarian Artillery (1 Gun)
Wurttemberg Artillery (1 Gun)
Imperial Artillery Reserve (3 Guns)
Bayreuth Cuirassiers
Hohenzollern Cuirassiers
Kurpfalz Cuirassiers
Ansbach Dragoons

So 31 battalions, 4 cavalry regiments and 5 guns down.

2 cavalry regiments, 5 guns and 8 battalions (14 battalions if I do the 'full fat' version) to go...

Cheers! The Pfalz-Zweibrucken flags are by Maverick Models. The Effern Regiment had Maverick flags for all of 24 hours, until a nice Frenchmen by the name of Frederic Aubert sent me some FAR better flags.
