What a Tanker thread
What a Tanker thread
Just ordered the rules, I think that makes a few of us now so I thought we should have a thread for us bunch of tankers.
Anyone my end fancy a game? I have plenty of early war stuff up to late so we could play our way through a campaign?
Tim.

Re: What a Tanker thread
As they say, timing is everything. Popped into Chester Models after work today to get a new brush and peruse the rack of Zvezda kits. Nothing new on show but piled up at the till was a stack of restocks. Down at the bottom of the pile I saw a word that could have been the Russian for Matilda followed by a II. I decided to use my card to get it but the lad said there was a £5 minimum on card sales. It only seemed fair to buy two of them.

Re: What a Tanker thread
Rather surprised that I just picked up the FoW El Alamein starter set on Ebay for £15, Pz III, Pz IV, a Grant & 2 Crusaders. No other bidders, I knew Fourth Edition wasn't setting the world alight but I expected competition.

The Zvezda stuff is incredible, but I just can't get the sdkfz 222 to go together cleanly.

Re: What a Tanker thread
I suspect all the other "What A Tanker" punters are still beavering their way through their assorted lead/plastic/resin/mdf piles to see what they already have and missed out.

I had a bit of bother with Lt Gruber's "liddle tank" as well.

Re: What a Tanker thread
I’m waiting for the rules before I choose my vehicle, an unusual approach I know
But there’s plenty to choose from in the lead/plastic/MDF/resin pile:
1940 western front 28mm and 20mm
1941 Eastern Front 20mm
1942 Desert Front 15mm
1944 Western Front 28mm and 20mm
1944 Eastern Front 20mm
Wonder if the rules cover 1917?
Definitely the possibility of a Loose Ass game, maybe as a series of 1:1 duels in a league table.

I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Re: What a Tanker thread
I’m going to buy tanks that I needed anyway for 28mm CoC - so Normandy British and German stuff. So no Zvezda Chi Ha models for me
