Tim W, you and I (and any other interested parties) could do some sword work Sunday? Probably could do a couple of games.

Happy to paint up a dark age force, the 28mm plastics seem good.

I am keen to do Lace Hulk on the Saturday. But otherwise I am open to some shield bashing.
I have some Ancients/Dark Age rules that I've been working on (basically a rip off of ASOIAF with the silly bits removed) that require units of 6 Cavalry or 12 foot (Same as LR) but is more Rank and Flank than running around like kids in a Primary school playground :D It might be of interest, or for smaller forces BW: Conquest. I find LR a bit vanilla for anything other than High/Late Medieval and i'd like to do something more impressive than a handful of figures each.

Saturday I'll be with Tim H and whoever is playing Kumbiyah.

Sunday will be our swords and shields. Happy to go with whatever rules you guys think best. How many figures were you thinking about?

I've got no idea what I'm doing for 2024. But I do have Saxon and Norman types...

What i've been saying to people recently about Dark Age stuff, is build a force big enough for LR, so maybe 6 units of twelve figures at the most. Because this can be broken down for most games....especially if you do what you did for trojan Rampant and put them on square/rectangular bases.
