2nd game A Bridge Too Far 1744 at Kenilworth 2023
Ment to post these last week however I have been busy looking after my Mum and driving up and down to Hereford and wales.
This game was played by Mark (Peeler) Prussians and Gary French / Austrians.
Once again a fast moving game, Mark had an unlucky run of bad dice that put him on the back foot throughout the game.
Both sides played very gentlemanly. Gary won the game by getting several wagons off the table and destroying a couple of Marks battalions.

It looks splendid - and kudos to whoever taught those hussar horses to goose-step!
(I shall now probably find that all my bank accounts have been cancelled......)

Great pictures with a few exceptions ( yeah you know, the ones that show the players )

Thanks for the AAR, Willz. Did IR23, a favourite unit of mine, survive the hussars' charge?
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Sadly, no both battalions were overrun by the hussars (sadly Peeler's infantry could not fire as the hussars charged within short range). I have modified the rules to allow half the battalion to fire if charged under half range.

That bodes ill for my lots first outing on Thursday. Perhaps I should have painted them in running shoes....
