I bought some Foundry ancient civilians "angry farmers" and "revolting civilians". These are to be herdsmen types for my Trojan forces.

Don Camillo is an Italian Priest in the Po valley, and the stories are about him and his worst enemy (best friend) Peppone in immediate post war Italy.

They are wry, funny and feel very personal. It is the first time all the stories have been in English.

There was a series of franco/italian films in the 60s and in 1980 the BBC did a se8es with Brian Blessed as Peppone.

Certainly always hearable - even several counties away.

Let me know if you find it. It’s not on iPlayer and YouTube only has the films from the 50s and 60s 😕

As far as I am aware, it never had a video or dvd release. Or even repeat showings beyond its original repeat.

Sounds like an Italian Father Brown.

No, no crimes....

Mostly it is poking fun at extremism (communists vs church), and how they can get around their differing beliefs to get on with daily life.

Hello,
Just joined after buying some Spencer Smiths from Willz, as good a place as any to own up to my addiction! ☺
"This week I have mostly..." been buying lots of older figures from a certain online auction site.........
RSM French and British along with Rafm Flint & Feather to finish off F&IW armies started in the 1980s and Hinchliffe SYW Austrians.
I seem to be on a severe nostalgia trip!
