I would like to not only go to the museum but also visit the Kulmbach Zinnfiguren show (Borse) which is held in Kulmbach. Just need to convince the Mrs to go on holiday to Bavaria first.Spanner wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 9:43 pm Have you been to the Zinnfiguren Museum in the Plassenburg (Kulmbach)?

Just remember - lederhosen are NOT your friend on this one.....

Do it, mate. Take the missus to the Schleissheim and Nymphenburg palaces in Munich, which you'd probably enjoy as well (especially the Schleissheim, which has the Schleissheim Flugwerft 500m away). Getting the train from Munich to Kulmbach is easy. Just don't stay in the Germania Hotel in Munich.

Re: Zinnfiguren
My latest unit for my Freiburg Zinnfiguren armies is the Prussian Krockow Dragoon Regiment No 2.
I have used Kieler figures for this unit and they are certainly in dynamic Charge poses.
I could not find a nice blue for the uniform some mixed a couple of different shades together. I used Liquitex Prussian Blue ink for the shading.
A closer view shows the detail of the figures which although fine is pronounced enough to paint and shade.

Lovely, remind me of the Hinchliffe Prussian Dragoons waving their swords about!
