She does have the benefit of not being Alice Roberts who, along with Neil Oliver, is one of the people I would happily leave in an archaeological trench when it was being backfilled.

Neil Oliver I would happily pin to the bottom of the trench with grid pegs just to make sure, but don't go dissing Alice!

She's a "plastic" archaeologist. She only became one to make TV programs. When she started out she was a Medical Doctor brought in to comment on human osteology. She had been on sites (I think I supervised her on one) but it was her then boyfriend who was actually studying and getting qualified in Archaeology.

I like her pronunciations of vowels.

She did a corker the other evening (digging for Britain). " A round house in the ground thousands of years ....."

She's from the West Country - I think we're talking "Mission: Impossible" here.

I believe she made her TV debut on Time Team; from memory they were excavating underground.

A Bristol girl IIRC. My cousin was at uni with her.

I fear this post will be immediately swept under an old page but......

The Lodge as confirmed that we can have the big room, the Breakfast Room as they call it, on the Friday.

Tim and I are putting on a shiny Napoleonic again, but there will be room for another game should anyone feel so inclined.
