My latest dabbling around is with some 10mm ACW for DBN or double bases for Fire and Fury. Figures are a mix of the older Pendraken range and Blaze Away.

Nice work, Ilkley! Anyone else think that the chaps in the hats look somewhat "Peter Piggish"?

Little Round Top - DBACW

I used 10mm figures rather than my 28mm ACW armies and set it all up on a 2 by 3 ft table. I used the scenario from the Regimental Fire and Fury as the basis for my DBACW game.

Image

My son played the Federals whilst I took the Rebels. My son does not play very often , in fact its over 2 years since he last played a game, so this was an added bonus.

The Confederates must strike early before Federal reinforcements arrive.

Image

Although initially successful Bennings Confederates struggle in the capture of Devils Devil and as a result Laws Brigade attack goes in unsupported. Law regiments attack initially drives back and destroys 2 of Vincent regiments including the 20th Maine.

However Law brigade flanks are both exposed and the Federal are able to destroy 3 of Laws regiments. Laws brigade check Brigade morale and fail. With this failure the Confederates call it a day and retire.

That looks awesome, Mark. My 10mm ACW is based seven figures to a 1" F&F stand! A bit crowded.
