Excellent work, Penda, and a good report. I like the finish on the carriage. Has Phil used the old "wiped oils" for the wood-grain effect?
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

Not as far as I know. He uses only Acrylics from what I've seen. The carriage body colour looks like Foundry Conker Brown to my eye. If I remember I'll ask him next week.

And nice coach! Such coaches remind the scene in “La Folie des grandeurs“ (1971) when the tax collector's servant secretly sabotages the bottom of the vehicle to give back the gold to the peasants. :clappy:
