Most of the Achmaenid styles are cribbed from Persepolis murals I thought, with contributions from the Alexander sarcophagus.

Very, very nice. There's something pleasing about old miniatures being given a modern make-over to bring out the sculpting that was there all along.

Modern miniatures with exaggerated undercuts and detail are all very well, but it takes real skill to get something good out of old miniatures with their minimal detailing.

Lovely brushwork...but there's not even 100 figures in that Phalanx...still time to paint a few more :D
