Cool, could do with knowing if you want the booking transferred ASAP, as I need to get it cancelled and deposit recovered otherwisePaul wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 5:50 pmThat is both bad news (that you're missing the weekend) and good news (that you good lady is getting an operation that she needs).Jamanicus wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 12:10 am Gents...I'm very unfortunately having throw a bit of a shitty spanner in the mix
My wife has been given Thursday 14th November as the op date for a pretty major operation she's been waiting over a year for they've said its 6-12 weeks recovery and basically 2 weeks of absolute bed-rest, so that's me being on hand to do everything (including assisting with self-catheterization apparently )
I'm bloody gutted as was really looking forward to a decent few gaming sessions
I'm still booked in at the Lodge for the Saturday night...did I see someone looking for a room?? Just need to cancel it soon, unless someone wants the booking
I'm sure your presence will be very much missed, I was looking forward to having a chat about Ayton 2025 and start to make more solid plans
Is your booking at the lodge for just the one night (Saturday) and can they be transferred? If I ever get over the covid I've had for nearly a month I might be able to negotiate a one night sabbatical (also assuming that my wife is no longer bedbound by covid as she has been for the last three weeks!)
Let me know how that could be organised!
Failing that I hope the operation goes as planned and that you can get the time off of work to become her carer for a few weeks! (plus plenty of painting time!!)
[EDIT: Actually as of this (Monday) morning i'm not 100% sure to be coming after smashing my ankle when a metal tool box fell off a shelf, currently awaiting a quick trip to A&E but I think it should be ok so long as it doesn't need a plaster cast!!]
[Edit the 2nd: Should be ok so long as it heals as it's meant to, no cast needed]

Does anyone need any terrain bringing?

Luckily he won't be getting a key as he's not turning up at all, but i'll still be securing the door with all mundane and mystical means available

In Jamie's case, I suspect it was largely down to cracking his head on the ultra-low door-frame from the living room into the kitchen.....

Is this still the kind of forum where I could make a ‘unexpectedly pounded by hard wood’ joke?BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 5:58 pm In Jamie's case, I suspect it was largely down to cracking his head on the ultra-low door-frame from the living room into the kitchen.....

Would it stop you if it wasn't?
