Footsore Vikings Kickstarter

Post by Penda »

These are the figures from my Footsore Vikings Kickstarter painted for my '1066 & All That' collection. They were sculpted by my son Matthew, so obviously I'm far from neutral in my view of them as wargames figures. The transfers for the shields are from Victrix/LBMS, the banner a free download from Wargames Foundry reduced to 50% sizing. The bases are from Warbases, who else? I have four mounted raiders underway just for variety.

They are very nice figures - lots of movement and well proportioned. And rather splendidly painted and based of course.

Well done David - these really are lovely sculpts so its hard to explain or justify why the ones in my possession are still in the painting queue and not on the table already

Those are really nice, Penda. Matthew has done a grand job. Will he branch out to other periods or stick with the dim ages?

Not a period I know very much about, so can't comment on the historical accuracy, but they do look good - and, as others have said, nicely painted and based.

Just to round things off a base of mounted raiders, the last of my Kickstarter purchase. Somewhere in the Lead Pimple are a similar number of Matt's Welsh also for Footsore. They are not yet though at the head of the queue...

more loveliness, you'll enjoy painting the Welsh - I've added a few to some Scottish Schiltrons for the Scottish wars of Independence
