Iain, I don't think any of us would see your actions as being manipulative. Go with what you want to do.

Right ho, we appear to have enough people to play. I don't know what you lot were discussing in your cups but it was never going to be a 35 foot table with approaching 6,000 figures on it. I'll take another look at Men Who Want To Be Kinky when I get home and give my two pence worth then.

Do we still want it to be a two day game, or would people prefer to do something else on one of the days?

I would be very interested in playing on just the Sunday if T&T are running the African game on Saturday as I want to revisit Kumbayah but would like to get some use out of my VBCW too.

Would a variety of games work on day one with everyone coming together for a big VBCW on day 2? That might be good fun, provide some more interest and give ideas about future big games.

I like this idea, I'm conscious not to overkill with Kumbahyah especially since myself and Tim are likely to be gaming it outside of Aytonawanda in the near future. My reservations on VBCW are only that I doubt I would ever use the figures again if painted especially. Though I have plenty of Early WWII and a few late WWI Frenchies.

I am not that bothered about doing VBCW, but if Whiskey wants to do it on the Sunday that's fine. I might bring something else along, not sure what, to do on the Sunday.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

What size forces are we talking about fielding for VBCW? Number of troops, number of vehicles and types etc?

I don't think we need to dump Iain's earlier thoughts. Small units, maybe one or two platoons, transport vehicles should fit the theme for your force if you think you need one. Armour should be scarce and not too impressive. I decided not to take a BA-6 or BA-10 as the 50mm gun would have been overpowered so my militia have nicked a Vickers light tank. No reason why your lot couldn't grab one. If I can find a suitable charabanc the East Yorks Motor Service militia may turn up in one.

Given the nature of my intended force I didnt want to bring a panzer division and hoped nobody else would. A delivery lorry or two will be sufficent to drive around in. But we'll see eh?

Good news for fans of Morris Dancing - https://www.grippingbeast.co.uk/TWDCSP0 ... -4091.html

(I seem to recall someone on here wanting to know, a while back, if anyone made them in 28mm.)
