EB - Are you revamping a 25mm French 'Napoleonic' unit ?

I am.

Mostly Minifigs. Not S Range but the next lot. They'll be block colours with black lining. Gloss varnish but with simple textured basing.

It's part of the plan to get my inherited stuff usable. The majority of the collection is 25mm, hence I'm seriously considering finding new homes for the 20mm stuff.

Well the 10mm ACW has proven to be a success thus far... It's taken me 11 painting sessions and three weeks to complete Reynolds' Union I Corps for Gettysburg, plus Buford's 1st Cavalry Division, including a load of unit status markers, cavalry dismounts, etc. A grand total of 210 foot, 40 mounted, 8 guns, 5 four-horse limbers and three horse-holder stands.

Now painting some ACW buildings and fieldworks while waiting for the Rebs to arrive from Pendraken.

Just undercoated another pike block (48), a unit of Spanish kniggets (15), a unit of infantry arqebusiers (30) and a unit of Stradiots (9). All 6mm for my French-Italian Wars/Imaginations period.

This week I have mostly been preparing Dark Elves. Some people at the club have a hankering to play Oldhammer. The perfect excuse to haul out some old Harlequin figures that have never seen paint.

Armourfast Valentines & Crusaders - in 1/72, for the club’s WaT malarkey.
Good fun to assemble, and blissfully free of the rubber-track bullshit of the Airfix days of yore.
Done one of each with the supplied 2lb-er barrel, and one of each upgunned with a 6lb-er.
(Note that I am entirely aware there were more differences in the later marks than having a bigger gun sticking out the front. I’m just not bothered.)
Need to find some brush-bristles for aerials and cut some wire for co-ax MGs, then it’s spray undercoat time.
