What are people buying?
Re: What are people buying?
More Minifigs ECW. I seem to be addicted to them at the moment. I reckon though if a project is going well it's worth pressing on as fast a possible before burn out occurs.
Re: What are people buying?
You still working on Minifigs ECW Timmo!?
I thought I had staying power but that’s impressive! That must be a decade?

I watched a longish clip of the "Battleground" episode of Edgehill the other day, featuring an impossibly young Duncan Macfarlane and some other bloke. The armies were a mixture of Hinchliffe and Minifigs, all nice and shiny. Even though they are now some forty plus years old I would still love to have them.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.
Re: What are people buying?
Yes, I've just bought some more. I've been collecting them for 37 years on and off. Mostly off. I still really like painting Minifigs more than anything 28mm, other than Foundry Pirates that are great fun in small batches. Really I should have restarted my ECW when Perry came along but I was too far into it to change scale. The biggest problem with ECW is the sheer amount of cavalry needed. In the last year I rebased my pike blocks and bought a whole load more foot to get bigger units and more of them. I doubt I'll ever stop buying them to be honest as there is anyways another unit to add, or just more cavalry, endless flaming cavalry.
@Tim
Some of Peter Gilder's ECW collection came up for sale some years ago on eBay. Initially I thought it had been nicked but it turned out to be genuine. The sale included some of his classic units. Had I not been so skint at the time I'd have bought them. There's was/is a guy selling a big collection of Hincliffe ECW in the style of Gilder – I think he's leaving the UK. A trawl of some blogs or some GoogleFu might turn them up.

Timmo - Did you try to contact me on another forum about my Bavarians? I sent a reply, but not sure if you got it.

The Baron is selling moose.
Re: What are people buying?
Yes but I think I got confused. I recall seeing post in which you noted you were after Minifigs Napoleonics. I'd just seen some on Fleabay but they were Barvarians but you were after Brunswickers. Have I got that right or dreamt it all up?BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Sun Jun 10, 2018 10:58 pm Timmo - Did you try to contact me on another forum about my Bavarians? On the subject of the Perry figures do you have a reference for the jacket once I've removed the gorget?
