VBCW Ayton 3rd May 2019 Organisation Thread
Re: VBCW Ayton 3rd May 2019 Organisation Thread
It seems that EB and CB sharing a table is set to become an Ayton Regular. Will there be candles like last time?

I think we'll probably need 3 tables. Giving 7.5ft x 6ft... 6 x 5 with another on the end to give 8.5 x 5. So yes. Some combination of 3 tables. As opposed to fork handles...
Although I've no idea what type of game we're playing yet....

That's to organise them before he puts them on the Big Table for the game.

We should start our own thread so we don't mess with Simon's goings on.

Re: VBCW Ayton 3rd May 2019 Organisation Thread
So yesterday our terrain supremos LT and the Purpleness popped round to plan out some of the scenery for the game - as they have very kindly volunteered to do a lot of the construction/terrain. With Dave using the excuse to skive off work and me between contracts it must have felt to Purps like one of his care in the community visits.
Anyway this is the way it is shaping up:
Day 1 - two smaller scenarios. One around RAF West Ayton (which in the real world was closed down by 1938 but in our world has developed as a minor airstrip). The other around the Royal Naval Wireless Intelligience Station at Irton Moor.
Victory in either of the day 1 scenarios will give some bonuses on day 2.
Day 2 - the full length board will represent Ayton village lengthways pretty much from the old station at West Ayton through to the church at the end of East Ayton with a number of key buildings - including titties at the Forge. There will be all sorts of scenarios/objectives and a good mix of open ground and built up areas.
I know a few of you already have volunteered buildings and that will be great as we are going to need quite a few.
We are also going to need lots of civilians and scatter scenery - so I'll put out a call for that later in the year - but anything 1930s that you fancy contributing will get used - so feel free to get started!
I'm going to set up a mailing list to email people more directly about the game. I think I've got the addresses of everyone who has committed (look at the very first post on this thread to see if you are on the list - let me know if I've missed you off)
I've also just updated page 1 of the thread and attached below to show all the factions and players declared so far - let me know if I've got it wrong or you want to change your mind.

I think my options are currently:
Faction- Status-Alignment
BUF -Finished -Evil
Socialist Militia - Half-finished - Good
Village Green
Preservation Society - Undercoated - 'Nice'
What I actually turn up with will depend on what I can get finished in time but naturally I really want the one thats only undercoated!

I get lockdown, but I get up again.
