My shed is full of bikes, old paint and tools I don't know how to use... Even I avoid going in there...

Unfortunately my shed is full of tools I do know how to use but if I go anywhere near them I'll be forced to do so.

They don't have real spiders in the UK, they're just tiddlers.

Biggest uk spider I've seen was about 6 inches across, which was big enough. Uncovered it whilst renovating my parents 200 year old house back in the 80's.

We had a proper one in SA, called Bobbejaan or Baboon spiders. Had them regularly in the house, especially when it rained

Having a background in Zoology (as well as Archaeology) I'm very well of the horrors you have on the underbelly of the world
When I moved to Scotland it always amused me that anything over one inch was seen as being a really big spider!
