Re: Love/Hate
The variety of unusual shapes are needed to plug the fundamental holes....
Re: Love/Hate
I'm not a good painter but I will have a bash at anything I'm interested in. Generally early medievals and WWII in 28mm.
I avoid Napoleonics unless in greatcoats. Also don't really do smaller than 20mm.

There is a special pleasure in getting frogging right on 6mm Hussars.

Re: Love/Hate
I think 6mm hussars could properly be described as "frogging hell".

Love/Hate
The 18th century of Course! In any scale. What can be more orgasm inducing than a new batch of Prussians for old Fritz?

I love Hussars because as all you fine students of the Age of Reason know, they are the best cavalry and my don’t they look dashing!
Like me! Sleek and colourful like a fabulous bird of prey or exotic jungle creature...
However there is inevitably always a point where you look upon the row of 20+ Vallejo pots and can only think about flagellating yourself with a large vegetable because of your stupidity.
Then inevitably after the long grinding grudge of finally getting them on the table... they don’t smash into the flank of the enemy Imperial cavalry and destroy them like the Székely Hussars did at Rossbach... no they roll a 2 and refuse to move or get seen off by light infantry because Dice-Jesus is a cruel and unforgiving bitch.

Love: everything. Although there is a sliding scale.
Hate: not sure I understand the question?

I was just thinking, Chimps are jungle creatures, and by definition exotic in any country they do not inhabit naturally. Like the UK. So is Purps comparing himself to a chimp? Just wait till Norm finds out he’s been cohabiting at Ayton with an undercover chimp!

Yes, but has a "chimp" ever volunteered for experimentation?
