Obviously I'm not buying anything but I got it second hand a tenner cheaper than direct from Footsore so technically speaking I've not bought anything as much as I've actually "saved" money!

...don't tell Michelle.
How come I never find these "bargains" on fleabay?

I was thinking the same thing too! Every time I look, it’s the same price or more expensive than the supplier

It looks like the only Black Powder book is the special ed which is available to pre-order. Just checked the price and for £75 I think I'll not bother. Warlord follow the GW model, so expect a 3rd Edition next year. I've not bought the 2nd Ed of Bolt Action as there are no differences that you can't simply introduce yourself. It's the same game essentially.

I did buy SagaV2 because it has changed quite a bit and seems much more playable. I also didnt buy the first one, which if you wanted all the supplements would have run into the hundreds.

The normal edition on pre order is £30.

I found they changed quite a bit in BA 2. Especially HE effects. I found it easier to just buy the 2nd ed as opposed to trying to remember all the little changes in morale, combat, etc as our club plays it a lot.

They are saying that there are no changes to the BP army lists. They were also pretty good, only upgrading the German lists for BA.

I’ve not yet bought Saga 2, haven’t played first ed for a couple of years. I may get back into it with my Britons, it’s also quite big down the club

Same here - my regular gaming partner bought v.1 and we played it fairly regularly; it was good, but somewhat frustrating when it came to finding all of the key stuff you needed to start the game, and quite a few of the rules you would only use occasionally were hard to locate because they wouldn't be in the section you would logically expect them to be in. I have now purchased v.2 and it is much better set out - though still not perfect, and there is only 1 scenario (that said, you can still use the six(?) scenarios with v.1 - assuming that someone in your group actually owns v.1 of course!). The battle boards have also been "toned down" a bit and there are no "uber" warbands that you never want to meet in a well-lit alley when you are lucky enough to be carrying your M-60 with you, let alone a dark one.

I've only recently got into Saga, though the guys at club have played it for years. By sheer luck I accidentally bought v2 (I had no idea there were two versions).

And Pagan Rus - in fact, a guy at our club has refused to play v.2 because it neuters them so much (actually, no more than any other band, but you can't tell him that).
