Great blog. There is a BBC programme on the castles of Ludwig of Bavaria, which comes up on iPlayer from time to time, and always fascinates me - I must have watched it 3 or 4 times and each time got something new from it (or more likely something I had merely forgotten from the previous viewing). One of them is Neuschwanstein, which was used in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang".

Glad you stopped in Rudesheim, home of the best cup of drinking chocolate in the world, the bottom third of the mug being Asbach Uralt brandy.

Awesome trip by the looks of it VB. I've heard that these cruises have an average passenger age of about 75 (yourself excluded naturally) - what was your trip like from that perspective?

Probably good to have at least one doctor on board, then!

Wouldn't have said they were that old Dave but could have been, there certainly wasn't anyone under 40 apart from a couple travelling with their parents who were about our age
Most were Americans though, but maybe bookings via European/British agencies would have a different mix

This is a rather large game we did at Bovington Tank Museum a few years back, of the assault by 53 (Welsh) Division on the Dutch city of 's-Hertogenbosch:

Today I've put some more AB Napoleonics up on the blog, along with one 'paint-conversion' of Marshal Bessiers from a Marshal Murat figure by Sho Boki:
