Where are you visiting?
Nice! I spent pretty much equal halves of my life in Pretoria and Port Elizabeth and worked for 6 years in Jhb (try get to the military museum in Sandton - it’s worth a visit). Kruger is awesome. Just completely awesome. It’s going to be hot though, Feb is the hottest month of the year. Pretoria will see most days in the mid thirties (and the thunderstorms are just epic every afternoon). PE is beautiful, Sardinia Bay and Kings Beach are amongst the best in the world. Just be prepared for lots of wind, it’s not called the Windy City for nothing! The less said about Benoni the better! 😂😂 You must try and get to Cape Town and out to the wine farms if you can. It’s beautiful

Are you still in the country or have you relocated?

Benoni should be mercifully brief. Believe there's an office of some sort I need to visit, but otherwise not there for long. The rest I expect will be top notch. Appreciate the information!

Relocated the April before last. Economic and crime conditions were getting distinctly unpleasant. I now live in the north west of England, though I have been fortunate to put a mountain range between me and the fallout from Peelers farts

Will I be able to locate a proper assegai and shield to hang on my wall when I (hopefully) return?

Yes, sourcing one is really easy, but it is highly unlikely you will be allowed to bring the shield back as it is untanned animal hide and customs don’t usually like that (infectious diseases, etc) from what I can gather. It’s also 5-6 foot tall, so not much chance of sneaking through customs!

There are much smaller replicas you could sneak back I’d guess, the size used in wedding ceremonies.

The phrase "out of the frying pan" springs to mind.
Kein Plan überlebt den ersten Kontakt mit den Würfeln. (No plan survives the first contact with the dice.)

Not as far as I know! Although it's clearly a discussion to be had.

With Parliment forces in 6mm, King in 28mm and covenanters in 20mm.

Actually for ayrton, you could do a cracking marston moor, as it is not a huge distance away.

Peeler could nip accross and steal the actual battlefield for us to play on then :)
(Although it's probably under a housin estate or industrial park)
