I suppose it’s all about perspective. We’re happy to shell out £20 on figures that first have to be painted and them will see the occasional game. These dice will be used in every game I play. And I like to collect dice.

Terrain is the same in my eyes.

To each his own

£3 for a novelty dice. Seems ok. I wouldn’t buy 20 buts it’s just the price of a tube of glue. I may get one

Each to their own and they are fun but not for me... I'd rather spend that money on lead to sit in a box for years and never get painted... It's the wargamer way...

I’ve stopped viewing things solely as a price per unit. I now view them in a return on investment perspective. Figures, by and large, are the worst purchase you can make. They sit in the cupboard for months/years before being painted. And when they finally are, the often see only a couple of games a year. And yet, we will shell out shed loads on them. But ask people to spend similar or lesser values on things that will see the table in every game (terrain or dice) and we all lose our mind.
