Ah...so he's replacing work related conflict with basing conflict...makes perfect sense Mr Jung :)

I think Iain has a working solution to the sabot problem. He's not as mad as he sounds...

Well, he is but not quite as much as usual in this case...

I think he just needs extra sabot space to store the white stilettos all his armies need.

you mean the non-existent problem ? yes its a perfect solution to that one.

seriously the basing isn't important. This thread is no more than a shared space to do whatever you want. Iain likes the look of 18mm bases so thats good and his armies will look absolutely beautiful like they always do. Plus basing is his hobby so its important to devote time to it. I'm doing 20mm on 3mm depth bases - and thats nearer to whats recommended in the rules but they stress you can do what you want. None of it really matters.

I’m mass basing mine. I see pics in the rules have single and mass based figures so it can’t be that important

I'll probably single base mine, mainly because I quite fancy using them for a bit of Chariot Rampant

My armies all use standard basing so 20mm x 20mm for close Order foot, some are multibased on 40mm x 40mm as you don't really want to use close order in a single rank anyway.
Loose order I've got on 25mm squares and cavalry on 25mm x 50mm rectangles. I haven't multibased cavalry as my units are quite small (10 figures).

Iains basing is fine it's just the sabots that will possibly cause confusion.

The great thing about WAB is that there aren't really any standard unit sizes, if you want a unit of 17 cavalry or 33 Foot you can :)

Does anyone know if the special rules changed from version 1.5 to version 2.0? I Don't have 2.0 rules but do have the big army list book for 2.0 as it was the best place to get most of the lists in one place.
