Re: The Pointy Stick thread
Always room for more panzers, sorry I mean chariots
Re: The Pointy Stick thread
I'm same. Bought x3 bags of one each from Newline in a really good show offer 25% off. Some poses are better than others and you only really get two poses of legionaries per 24 plus command/signifer and bloke who got the orn. I'm going to paint the 12 better poses first with command to give me the option of a x16 wab unit or knocking it down to a LR x12. I may need x3 extra sets of commands to make up the other units to make x6 complete units out of what I have.Zenbadger wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 9:35 pm Painting started with some Hastati. The question is - if I am going for 4 "legions" with one unit of each (velites, hastati, principes, triarii) should I go for a basic unit size of 12 or 16? I had originally planned for 24 which is why it never got started, I need to be sensible this time.
Just wish Crusader sold in 6's rather than 8's.

Plan B would surely be chubby Minifigs ? 23mm bases required !
Re: The Pointy Stick thread
No thanks.
Maybe if they dieted they’d be cheaper. £1.30 I think not.
No I love those staddens. I was very close to placing an order but I’m holding off until post Ayton

Simon, are you doing command as part of the unit, or as supernumerererererereraries?goat major wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 9:40 pm I’m going to do units divisible by 6 and then they can work for various Rampant games as well
I think my units are going to be big 36s for most of the rubbish infantry, 24s for the better stuff and cavalry will prolly be 12s. Obvs units can be divvied if necessary.
Re: The Pointy Stick thread
Yes, I think I’m going to go 24’s for my irregular foot and 16’s for the regular foot

Good question. Not sure yet - but i know that standards and musicians etc are useful in WAB. I think it will depend on how many command type figures i have when i sort the leadpile. I think when they are there then they'll be embedded in the unit - so e.g. 22 hoplites, a commander and a standard for 24 in total
