I've only got the Armies of Antiquity book with Trojans in it. Is the list very different in Chariot Wars?

It's a more complete list in the CW book IIRC. I'm going to have to rummage through the garage and find all my army books as all i have to hand are the two AofA books. The only other one i've found so far was the Byzantine one, which Andy now has
If I can locate the CW book i'll bring a copy of the trojan list to Ayton if you'd like?

At great personal risk, fighting off giant rats and falling boxes, despite having seriously knackered knees I have found my CW book.
Alas the Trojan Wars list is a disappointment It differs very little from the AoA list and therefore doesn't include a number of key types of troops which really should be there.
The list needs tweaking a bit for use amongst ourselves to give people a choice of lists, otherwise you can't have swordsmen, cavalry, Achilles' bunch of thugs or guys in Dendra Armour?

Fair enough but you'll need to base it on something to get all the figure stats etc.... After that it's flying fast and loose for figure numbers and ratios.
My issue with the Trojan wars list was no troops of types which were needed so nothing to base parts of the army on.

You do have to have a starting point though. As not all men are created equal in WAB. Differing weapons, special rules and stats means you do still need to pick an army list to base things on.

I know what you mean Paul but it's equally easy to collect what you want and then fit it back to the rules when needed

Are you suggesting that the Gateway military record is solely attributable to bad luck ?
