Re: Painting batches
i'm just revising my previous answer for my hoplites of which i've got about 80 to do....
I'll paint up the core colours (flesh, armour, belts) for all of them.
I'll then batch paint colour blocks (all the yellow plumes, then all the reds etc)
I'll then batch paint shield types (all the snakes, all the lambdas, all the young dudes etc. )
I can feel a big fuck-off kanban coming on

Do hopilites wear kanbans?
Re: Painting batches
My procedure (after black undercoating) is:
Main clothing colours
Faces, hands & hair
Facings
Belts
Belt-kit, shoes and hats (in most of my periods these are usually all black)
Backpacks
Weapons
All metallic - weapon barrels, blades, scabbards, buttons, badges, chin-scales, etc
Detail on hats
Any horses
Spray-varnish
Flags
Base

I just dress myself in yesterday's clothes, have a quick breakfast and give the missus a kiss and leave for workRMD wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 3:54 pm My procedure (after black undercoating) is:

Re: Painting batches
I don't bother with a black undercoat. I grab some clothes out of the clean laundry basket, have a shower, get dressed, kiss any girl who has spent the night with me, write her name down, and go to my desk.
