controversial opinion. I hate hot glue. It goes too stringy, it cools down too quickly so little chance to reposition. It dribbles and oozes between squeezes - never a good thing.....

I left that problem behind decades ago.
Re: What are people buying?
I will agree it can be a pain, even in the hands of an award winning modeller.
I use it mainly when I need speed and want to get on to the next stage without drying time.
I think the string is fun to play with.

I seldom use them myself, but I found it great when I was doing the Ayton chainlink fencing given the time constraints.

And after all that stuff in your BUM, a few dribbles between squeezes was a pretty minor sort of problem.

I have often wondered why people selling on ebay do that?????, why would you start a transaction out of pocket.Buff Orpington wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 8:01 pm Bought some random crap on Ebay yesterday, more as a teaching exercise for the vendor than because I needed them. The lesson being; if you're going to offer to pay the £2.90 postage on an item don't start the auction at 99p.
As I'm really a kindly soul I looked to see if he had anything else I wanted but it was all fluffy toys and novelty stuff. If he has the gumption to contact me I'll let him refund the 99p.
I always charge £4.50 packing and postage and send all my items 2nd class signed for. Then the buyer knows I have posted it and I have prove they recieve it.
Simples.

Re: What are people buying?
Last year I saw some Napoleonic figures for sale on ebay, the items were at starting bid of £10 I think but the postage
was at £350. I contacted him to point out his typo, he sent me a very polite reply, put in the postage at £3.50 and people started biding on his items.
Ebay is all about helping each other.

Re: What are people buying?
Christmas time! I got my Dremel accessories (the ones I couldn't get by Bunning) AND three new books, one of which was the 21 pantser divs history in Europe.
