Re: HMS Priapus' Flying Bridge
Very nice indeed. If I am not careful I will be digging out out my part completed 6mm SYW armies and painting some more.
For buildings I used the free ones from this site. They can be re sized for 6mm

Re: HMS Priapus' Flying Bridge
Thanks all.
ILS - someone kindly pointed that out to me over on LAF. And they are quite nice when printed out - really amazing that the files are hosted on a primary school website. Will be using a mix of them and the stuff from Paper terrain.
I like the fact that he provides a ruined version that you can nest within the intact version of the building. Mounting them to platicsrd bases as I go and thinking I’ll make some sort of modular tray in which they integrate with streets or fields.
That’s a whole other aspect of this project that has me excited - building out the table a la Bruce Weigle.

Re: HMS Priapus' Flying Bridge
Minimal progress this week but, managed to get a couple things done and a sizable amount of the Leib Carabiniers underway. Note a couple infantry BN divisions of grenadiers and musketeers to the rear. More to show of them in the future.
And a quick diversion due to the unexpected arrival of a parcel I had thought would be a few weeks away...

That is exactly why the Wargames Magazines have always ignored 6mm. Their photographers are shit.

Re: HMS Priapus' Flying Bridge
Can I suggest using a black super fine fineliner to make the hole at the end of the gun barrel black. I just sort of twirl it around inside.

Thanks, all. And, yes -- good idea to take the marker to the opening of the gun barrel. Always interesting to see what the camera shows as opposed to the eye.
A couple more bases done this week, and have a bunch of cavalry on the go.
