Yeah.
He cites the same half-dozen books throughout the text - wouldn’t pass muster at any academic level.
And his most frequently-cited source is...
David Nicolle’s Osprey.
Wooh, research!
(This after criticising much of the popular information available as derivative.)
His diversions into the pre-Napoleonic stuff (on the grounds of establishing historical background or defining terms) are a bit lengthy and start to whiff of ‘padding’.
Also the phrasing: “it is known”.
Made me think I was being read to by a Dothraki.

From BBC News website 17/7:
"....in the 1815 Battle of Waterloo...... which saw the French army defeated by the allied British and Persian troops"
There's a game to rival the battle for AWI airfields.

They weren't called Immortals for nothing.

Factually wrong. Everyone knows that the Persians were marching to support Grouchy at Wavre but took a wrong turn somewhere in the Causacus.levied troop wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 7:43 pm From BBC News website 17/7:

(More seriously, does anyone do Napoleonic era Persian troops? There was a Russo-Persian war at the time)

I think that's a scratch build item. Of course, you might not be looking at the right manufacturers.
