I think Hotel has popped the nail fairly and squarely on the head there. Reliability can often come a poor second to struggling with the demons in PTSD cases.

So who would people recommend now for gaming mats ? Cloth style rather than mousemat material. I’m going to be needing some new ones relatively soon

I like Deep Cut and Cigar Battle Mats which are a fleece type material and available from North Star.

Have a look at https://geekvillain.co.uk/ as well. Some reviews/comments on Pendraken forums I think...

Cigar Battle always seemed a little cartoonish for my taste - but they seem to have a good reputation. I think my go to will now be Deepcut, I do prefer their style and I was using their carrying bags anyway.

I second that. Both are excellent. With Deep Cut, I prefer the cloth to the mouse mat material
