WSS in 1/72

There was a time when one's heart would leap like a salmon heading for the spawning grounds on hearing that someone was doing plastic WSS; then sink, as though plucked from said stream, just short of the finish line, by a hungry bear, on finding out that they were made by Strelets. Not any more - these are superb (not least because it means we can meet up with EB for a game!). The only problem is the glacial pace at which the other packs in the range will be released....

WSS is great fun and very nice uniforms, I strongly encourage you to buy as much as you can.

I would buy these. What a turnaround, last time I saw some strelets figures they looked like a coach load of middle aged reenactors in a fun fair hall of mirrors.
How much are 1/72 plastic boxed sets these days? I’ve not bought one since before the millennium.

About £11 from various ebay shops incl postage. There's 44 figures in this box. I liked their Boer War and Lawrence of Arabia ranges but resisted. I'd use Jacklex for 20mm Boer War now.

I was all always put off 1/72 plastics by the problems painting them - was it they needed to primed wiyh pva first?
Has all that changed now and can you just paint these like you would paint something plastic by the Perrys?
