28mm Celtic houses
28mm Celtic houses
Who makes 28mm houses for ancient Gauls/Britons that isn’t going to cost an arm and a leg?

Hovels? Do Warbases do them perhaps?
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

Sarissa do one too.

Gauls and Britons have different styles of housing though
Why not build them yourself?
It's pretty much the easiest modelling project you can imagine!

Thanks, just seen these. They’re more expensive than Hovels!Paul wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 11:43 am Sarissa do one too.

I’m really, really, really shit at building terrain, especially houses. They end up looking like something a 5 year built, which the dog then ate and vomited up.
I subscribe to the theory that it’s stupid spending a fortune on armies and painting them wonderfully, only to penny pinch and have shit looking terrain.

It's the range of sizes that no manufacturer seems to make though I've never dug an Iron Age or Bronze Age domestic site that doesn't have one in excess of 6m in diameter and twice that size is not uncommon. There's many much smaller too in th 3m-6m bracket.
Grand Manner have a variety of not quite accurate but still nice Roundhouses but, as they only do painted resin now, you need to sell a kidney (preferably someone elses) to buy them.

I love that Sarissa include a rear view... make a cardboard circle, cut out door opening, add a cardboard cone, glue on face-washer to cone, texture to taste. Et voila!

Back before the farming of teddy bears I used filler then combed it before it set.
