Figures for Border Reivers?

Post by tim.w »

Other than the guys at Under the Bed miniatures. Anyone know of decent figures for Border Reivers? I'm thinking the scots lancers from Warlord might be a start.

I picked up a book on holiday in Northumbria a few weeks ago and its arrousing my interest again. Pig Wars would be an ideal rule set to use but I know I can adapt a Battleblade for small actions and of course Lion Rampant for anything medium skirmish size.

Hoka Hey, now Timeline, are good:

Their Elizabethans aren’t so nice but are in period:

Foundry Sea Dogs will also work and are amongst their best figures ever:

My take on the figures is here:

I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Graham at Crann Tara had Mark Bowen’s peerless ‘Graven Image’ reivers - I cant remember who he sold them to, but a pm would get it.

Edited to add: penny just dropped, they’re now at Hoka Hey, as recommended by LT.

I've got a bunch of the Hoka Hey castings. Very characterful, as they say.
