My next classic napoleonic unit is a battalion of Lutzow Infantry/ 25th Regiment in 1815.



These are Der Kreigspieler figures and I have made the Infantry figures a bit taller by adding Milliput to the base as can be seen in the middle figure.

I'm doing some major re-flagging of my entire Wellingtonic Russian army at the moment. It's my oldest army and there are a lot of very ropey figures and even ropier flags. A lot of it once belonged to my mate Jase and he hand-drew a lot of the flags and then varnished them with an artists' varnish that has turned the white flags dark brown in the intervening 25 years. The figures still look pretty dark and muddy, but it's amazing how much being presented with new colours can perk up a unit.

Pigtails.

When you mod non-Syw figures or even simply change the angle of a head, you usually need to add a pigtail. I use plastic lengths cut from a broom. Super-glue on & cut to length.

Not when you're making life-sized models. Mind you, it's a pain to find a 4 km square field to run a wargame. And my storage cases need a forklift.
