Re: What are people buying?
I wasn't buying that when 'er indoors came home with three pairs of shoes claiming she had saved us nearly £200 - would seem a touch hypocritical.
Re: What are people buying?
All this sitting at home is dangerous. I've been painting Trojans that I bought from LT and some ECW stuff for not-next-year's Ayton. So I thought I'd better get some bases for them. 40 quid gone. Then I thought "I wonder if I need some more ECW figures?" Another £100. Now I've gone and bought some rules. Time to stop browsing and get painting again, although I might need some more paint . . . . .
Why us? Cos we're 'ere lad, nobody else.

Good to see you Gary!

I've not been away, just lurking. Not had much to say, so I've been admiring the gay wit and repartee of this forum. And the dreadful puns. And the knob jokes.
Might post some pics, if I can be arsed to base anything . . . .

Bugger.. I seem to have accidentally bought a Corgi 1/50 Vietnam era Patton M48. I suspect this means I have some Empress miniatures in my future. Now I need to find some period Hueys in scale.
Re: What are people buying?
Corgi do the M113 too don't they? If not Empress do a number of versions. The Empress Vietnam stuff is just disgusting wargame porn. I've so far resisted the Australians to use in Kumbahyah as mercs but it won't be long.. If I had the money the Nam stuff would definately be joining my lead pile.Shahbahraz wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 10:08 pm Bugger.. I seem to have accidentally bought a Corgi 1/50 Vietnam era Patton M48. Yeah, I reckon some Long Tan Aussies are going to be on the pile pretty soon. I need me old 2ic in his gunship, Adrian Roberts on the tracks, and she'll be Jake.

And just why FFS would Corgi make their Vietnam heroes series in 1:43, 1:48, and 1:50? Would it be too much to ask for their M113 to be the same scale as their Patton?

They did hueys as well in the scale.
And their 1/50th centurion matches the m48.

Re: What are people buying?
A second hand "Cruel Seas" starter box, with extra German sprue and the U-boat conning tower model. Not because I like the game itself, but because I have the TFL equivalent ("Coastal Patrol") and fancy doing it in a scale where I can still see the boats and make out which side is which...... Plus there's lots of extras, game markers, etc - and a "playing mat" (which was, hitherto, just something my children used to vomit on 20 years ago).
