Yes, I was disappointed about the globe hats, but decided to bite the bullet and go ‘old school’. My love of Sassanians (as we should call them now) dates from Charles Grant’s ‘Wargames Tactics’ when globe hats were definitely all the rage anyway.

That and levy chained together thanks to an unfortunate mis-translation.

I stopped soaking figures in vinegar after someone on The Place We Don Not Name suggested that lead acetate might be a precursor to lead rot. Of course, if these are just tin and zinc it won't be a problem.
