Ooh! Lancashire are going to release a new range of GNW in 15mm. At last I will have a use for those two feckin expensive Hoglund & Sallnas books I bought.

Yeah, I saw those and were briefly tempted. They look to be very nice sculpts. for 15mm.

What I did was buy a tupperware with a good seal. I then let the the figures soak in the that with a lid on. Cuts down on all the smell.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 6:48 pm Does this remove the need for the (mis)use of Dettol and other paint strippers? Thinking of using it to clean "painted" 15mm and 25mm figures.
I don’t find the smell of Dettol offensive. Reminds me of my childhood when I was continually having cuts and scrapes cleaned. We can also get Dettol antiseptic cream in SA which was lathered on all cuts by my mum. I hardly notice the smell anymore

It's ok, you can wash now, the cuts are closed.

There are many things that you can accuse a Saffer of, but one thing that you cannot accuse them of is lack of daily hygiene. Given the average temperature there, daily showers become second nature. The one thing that appalls me is the unwashed smell of many people over here.

It used to hit me when doing business in London. The tube is an olfactory nightmare. Fortunately the B&B where I stayed had decent showers and plenty of hot water.

I've found that if you set fire to smelly people then they smell different. They tend to run around a lot as well. Unless you tie them up.

Nothing like the smell of butter used as a skin cream in African temperatures is there?

I used to teach basic maths and english skills to jobseekers. Most of them were good enough for minimum wage purposes, if they had actually had a shower and washed their shellsuits they might have passed an interview. In contrast the kids in my secondary school classes gave out an overpowering stench of Lynx Africa.

I wonder if the makers of Lynx have ever smelled Africa?
