Bloody hell, my Warbases order arrived. If only I could remember what my thinking was behind purchasing 4 x 1p sabot bases.. extend the 8s to 12s? make it easier to form column? Command groups?

And I'm actually in deep and terrible trouble as I have run out of post 1994 1p pieces anyway... can't get to a bank to get change. It was the one thing I didn't think of, or at the back of my mind thought: 'my mother still has three hundred of the things in a jar somewhere'? (Which the dottled old woman can't find, of course..)
Wargames dreams never die, they just get left in a box.

I've got to wait for the pubs to reopen. My son does some of the banking work for one so I usually get him to add mine to the change order.
I know when to go out
I know when to stay in

I had the same problem a while back. I looked on the net and found repair washers in just about the same diameter. They are a little thinner and a little smaller diameter but fit the sabots. Price was less than 1p each including postage.

Pennies are something like 20.9mm and you can get 20mm washers.

I got five quid worth of pennies from my bank a couple of days ago. They had to do a 'special order' for me because I'm not a business customer. What a palava!

Yes, there’s limited call for it.
I’d make the move to washers soon chaps, I can’t see copper coin as a concept lasting long into the ‘New Normal’
I get lockdown, but I get up again.
