Simple purchases arrived today, cavalry and command bases for shiny 42mm. They have already been primed and given the first coat of EB approved Lettuce Puree paint. Sorry, Urban Jungle paint.

Just bases, pill shapes for the horse and larger ovals for commanders. The only drawback with Wilco's Urban Jungle is poor coverage, it will need a multitude of coats. On the plus side, the bases are still in the original MDF sheet so it's easy to use a 1" paintbrush.

I wondered about using that, but went with vallejo olive for the figure bases. I'll use the jungle for a baseboard at some point.

Did I mention that I'm in Portsmouth? I am, and today we tripped to Arundel and it's castle. Spiff place to see.

Oh, and the point was that in a bookshop in the town, I bought a book, Waterloo, Battle of Three Armies, edited by Lord Chalfont. I've read it several times, not sure if I've already got it, but it was only £7.50.
And the word Chalfont makes me giggle.

I bought some Aventine Miniatures - in fact quite a few EIR, probably enough for 2 sides for Snip Snip

Especially when used in conjunction with "St Giles".
