I hate you.....Vintage Wargaming wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 11:10 pm NMP Sale
The Cloathing Book 1742 - hardly an extravagance
The new Franco-Prussian War uniforms an equipment set - two volumes, eye wateringly expensive, but beautifully cases and presented, in the sale, and essential.

I hate myself as well but it had to be done - I’ve still got all those extra FPW Germans from EB to paint sometime

Re: What are people buying?
Upon looking through my Britains Deetail I realised the only figure from their Special Forces range I didn't have was the SAS grenade thrower. Quick ebay research, watched a set of figures put on at £19, seller emails me an offer of £14 and I couldn't be so rude as to turn them down. Now got a whole bunch! That's my rapid reaction force sorted for my F.E. Perry inspired stuff.

Re: What are people buying?
Well I have to do the flags for my ACW units from vintage figures.
Then I have five mounted figures to complete my S Range and Lamming rocket corps.
Then I have to finish some strange Hinton Hunt based 20mm 1880s Egyptian Army.
Then I have a regiment of Miniature Figurines British SYW to complete.
I also have loads of S Range French in Egypt and Jacobite Rebellion which I suspect are in the queue before the FPW, thigh the book may inspire me to move some at least of them up.
But then I’ve got loads of vintage Hinton Hunt Napoleonic British which may just need a bit of a refurb and rebasing, and my HH/Les Higgins ECW armies to do as well. At the moment I’m going for doing things in big chunks rather than the odd unit here and there, though I might have a go at more rotation.
But if I want to have a go at the FPW at least I have the book ready.
