They help you breathe more easily.
Kein Plan überlebt den ersten Kontakt mit den Würfeln. (No plan survives the first contact with the dice.)

Spent a miserable hour and a half cleaning up and assembling the last unit of Hanibal's Veterans! God knows, I HATE multipart figures! But, they are spray undercoated now! Time for a cold beer I think...
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

On the first day they were available for sale, some of the the new Jacklex 20mm French Intervention in Mexico range.

I’m mainly interested in the French figures and what else I could use them for.
Instead of buying big armies straight off I decided to buy cadres (6 foot or 3 mounted) for units and paint them up; then if I want more I’ll just expand them into full (24 foot or 12 mounted) units.
I’ve been intrigued by the prospect of these for a while so I’m looking forward to them turning up.

You are a complete and utter Git, Clive.
I was quite happily not going to give a second thought to something new for the foreseeable future. Now this.

More Victrix plastics. Iberian Cavalry and Balearic slingers. I may need to expand storage to another 4 litre box.
And not a new purchase, but in re-organising the shed, I discovered a box with about 70 plastic Napoelonic cavalry assembled and horses base-coated. I'm pretending they aren't there. In fact, I'm considering sorting out enough to do two small Sharp Practice forces and flogging the rest. There's thousands of the buggers I'm never going to paint.

I sense a great disturbance in the Force. Like a spouse looked at the internet banking to discover that her better half had ordered flags from Fighting 15s, AB Figures from Eureka and Star Wars Squadrons from Amazon and then cried out in anger and alarm...

Are you aiming to go for the "at least I didn't blow up a planet darling" defence?
Let me know how that works for you...

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Bloody sight less disturbing than the consequences of your purchases.
