As everyone in oz can tell you, 'It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll' I always thought their parents were brave naming Angus after the county. But I can see that works. Other places not so much. Nottinghamshire Young.

I suppose that there are a few that could work. Devon, Kent, Stirling etc. The newer hybrids like Merseyside or Tyne & Wear are probably best avoided.

A mate's wife suggested that perhaps they should name their first son after the place he was conceived. She quickly revised her plan when she realised that it had been on a Sealed Knot muster in the Midlands and she didn't want to name her son 'Vango' or 'Shugborough'. To us he will always be 'Vango Shugborough Jones' and will probably grow up to be an adventurer-archaeologist.

XR2 is a weird first name, (for the other 10%), but then again so is 'out of wedlock'.

Surely only in and around Dagenham? I would have thought "Kebab Van" would be more common.

Why wasn't Jesus born in Dagenham?

They couldn't find a virgin or three wise men. And nobody wants to sing a carol entitled "Away in a Minger"?

This is very niche but I can’t quite believe the Purple Primers Mechanized and Armoured Foundations 1929 and Armoured Formations 1931 have been published on Lulu and I have just bought them both...
