I think i'll aim for 6 figures. A small unit for DR or an adequate adventuring party for Dungeon crawls and skirmish games!Shahbahraz wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 4:29 pm I'm going with one dwarf 'group', 10 figures is nice and manageable. And they will be the first Napoleonic figures I've painted in forever.

I've decided to go for 12 Westwind dwarves as a DR Aggressive Light Foot unit. I may attempt a side order of Mantic Abyssal Dwarves but I haven't fallen in love with them.

I know what you mean. I wish I'd bought a load of the Rackham metal mid-nor Dwarves for that Chaos vibeBuff Orpington wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 7:19 am I may attempt a side order of Mantic Abyssal Dwarves but I haven't fallen in love with them.

I looked at the Mantic dwarves, but they didn't do much for me. The Oathmark standard dwarf infantry look like they would be more fun to paint.

Re: Gobbortunity Knocks
I have three groups of Dwarves. One lot is Hasslefree, nice enough but they don’t fit with the second bunch so they’ve gone up for sale.
The second bunch are chunky models sculpted by Mark Sims (but they aren’t the CP Models ones) that I’ve already painted a few, so I’ll keep those and try and finish them for Dwarfcember.
The third bunch look like the CP Models ones, are professionally painted, but I can’t remember who I bought them from. Or why. Sometimes I think I have too many figures

I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Re: Gobbortunity Knocks
I'm doing a practice run this week trying some ideas out on what will be a Dragon Rampant unit of Bellicose Foot.
I sorted out the tray full of dwarves in the spare room and I have enough Westwind figures for a sizeable warband. I just hope that I've got some missile troops in the shed.
