Sorry for the confusion chaps, I played the game last week and was writing it up while the missus cooked. We had dinner at out daughter's and the turkey went in a thermal blanket...

Here in the antipodes we usually eat the turkey cold, much easier than thermal blanket.

When I first arrived in Aus, I found cold turkey, cold ham and salads a bit exotic, along with a Christmas trip to the beach. Now, I would find anything else bizarre.

We always used to do vichysoisse, prawns, glazed cold ham and turkey. 40 degree heat isn't really great for hot food.

We always had a Christmas braai with salads. The day was spent in the pool drinking beer.

Love the Russian cuirassiers (the others are good too, but not periods I'm so interested in).

All the best to you and your painting desk for 2021.
