From the finials on their flag poles to their square-toed shoes, these look superb.

Didn't the French infantry still have one colour per company at the start of the SYW?

As a general rule they had three colours per battalion until about 1750, when it was reduced to two. The colours were carried as a pair in the centre of the battalion, and In the 1st Battalion the Colonel's Colour was carried on the right of the pair.

The exception were the Swiss, who carried one per company, with each colour being carried at the centre of each company (i.e. 6 colours per battalion). The 1st company of the 1st battalion carried the Colonel's Colour. However, I'm not going to show the difference at this scale!

I've finished my Boxhead Brigade for King Louis...

The 'St Germain' Regt (single battalion):

15mm figures by Eureka Miniatures. The 'La Marck' flags are by Maverick Models. The 'Royal Pologne' flags were stuck together from Kronoskaf images and printed off on my own printer. The 'St Germain' flags are by Fighting 15s.

Lorra flags, very nice. Those bases look quite flat too. 👍

Bloody nice. Lovely figures, nice paint, colourful flags, just all round good stuff. You must have a fair collection by now!
