WAB (or other rules) in 15mm

Post by Paul »

Following on from my foray into Greek Mythic stuff in 15mm I have searched through the various boxes of shame and found a couple of potential armies for WAB in 15mm.
So does anyone play it in 15mm and if so what base sizes etc... do you go for.
If not, what other rules and base sizes do people use for 15mm now or are the old WRG standards still...er...standard!

I’m about to refurb my 15mm Carthaginians and base WRG style so that o can play DBA, big DBA and To The Strongest . I probably wouldn’t use WAB, but I think it would work if you just halved everything like in WRG

Hmmm....I was wondering about basing for DBA/M but on 25mm size bases (so 60mm frontage) is that what you mean by "big" DBA or do you just mean the 24 base variant/

I just meant 24 point or higher variants. Basing on 25mm sized bases does look great and if I ever did 6mm that’s the way I’d go

I meant using the 25/8mm figure base sizes for 15mm figures, for a big army look :)

I've just realised they'd make natural opponents for one of the armies I rediscovered, an old Falcon figures Blemmye force!

Not so many elephants, but the potential for a nice mix of horses, camels and nellies which always seems fun. it was going to be my fourth DBM army about 25 years ago, so it could be a big army...although some figures I started seem to have gone awol  (All the painted armies: Alan, Sassanid and MIR went the way of Ebay a decade ago. :( )
