I should point out, that's not the highest resolution. The surface striation is absolutely not noticeable other than in photography. I will be undercoating the Kangaroo Ram and the Marder today, and having a look at the results.

The big challenge seems to be finding high quality .STL files to print from. I can find any number of 1/100 (15mm), but scaling them up often looks terrible.

Is it possible to get a larger scale version and downsize?

There seem to be virtually no larger scale versions. I did find a 1:35 scale Aliens APC, but it prints in 60 separate parts!

So I'm looking for STL files, playing with Tinkercad for markers etc.

The other thing that presents a challenge is that lots of designs are optimised for the resin extruder style printer FDM, and not resin.

If anyone knows any good sources, that would be great so far it's thingiverse, and wargaming3d.

Downsized versions won't be any smoother because it's the layer thickness that causes the lines. Thinner layers equals less visible grooves but a longer print time.
The vehicle looks pretty good and once painted those print lines may be virtually invisible anyway. I thin k the choice of clear green resin may be making them look worse than they are??
When my great garage clearout is complete it might be time to finally fire up my "Mars". I have some STLs i've got from all over the place that I want to try out! Then I have other plans!

Ooh. Will be interested to see how the Mars goes. And yes the clear resin is fun. I can literally see a bubble inside the hull of one print that is yet to fully cure. Any ideas for stl sources?

And uprising is a pain because overscale rivets and barrels become hugely oversized.

Downsizing the risk is that detail disappears or small components become too fine.

There are a couple of .stl finder sites, but at the moment they tend to all send you to 2 or 3 of the same places.

Thanks Fredd, I suspect I am going to have to adapt 15mm files - just started playing with Tinkercad as a starting point.

Yeah, I think you might need to buy some stl files to get some better quality results!!

Try www.wargaming3d.com has loads of free stl files but also some you have to buy!! I printed their ww2 armoured bulldozer in 28mm and was pretty successfully!! As was their Sherman!!

Thanks for that. I tried a couple of the free ones, and they came out well, but I have seen others that are nowhere near as detailed.
