There's a Grimtooth trap that involves hiding a keg of black powder and nails in the body cavity of an animated corpse - doesnt have to be a genuine mummy - wrap it with bandages.
Party see it, they're all, 'Mummy, burn it!' >BANGshrapnelshrapnel<

I seem to recall one particularly nasty DM who had a guillotine blade on delay in a booby-trapped doorway. Poor Keith, how we all laughed... especially as his character was a Halfling.

Although perhaps 'Quarterling' was more appropriate afterwards.

Played with a party which included a halfling who'd had a growth spell with permanence cast on him. He described himself as a 'full-ling'.

He must have had difficulty getting his feet through doorways...

Its entirely possible he was just a bloke with freakishly hairy feet who chanced upon a really creative explanation.

The shame. If Gunnar wasn’t determined to die in combat, then he most certainly is now!
