It does, pandours or croats, are they in the game on the same sized base but fewer figures?

I was sorry to miss what would have been my first Ayton visit but sometimes life gets in the way of Toy Soldiers, hey ho !!

Will the 18th century bash be 28mm I have a reasonable number of SYW ?

Sorry you couldn't make it John. We'll have to do a Ryedale bash again soon (maybe even invite some other North Yorkshire interlopers).

Yes next year will be 28mm (or probably 25 - 30mm) so you should be able to add to the lead mountain on the table !

Yes, is the simple answer, but actually the number of figures isn't important. Go for the footprint first and take it from there. I wouldn't object if your Pandours were crammed shoulder to shoulder on their bases, or if close order foot look a little spaced out because they're on 2p bases. The fact is that light foot (such as Pandours, and maybe Highlanders) have some advantages but are brittle - close order line have the odds stacked in their favour.

I'll put some more detailed stuff out once I've had a chance to talk to Dave H, but I don't envisage any drastic changes to what we said about troops organisation when we started planning for the cancelled anniversary Ayton.
