Ayton May 2022 18thC notes and queries
Re: Ayton May 2022 18thC notes and queries
There’s still 5 months to go! Let’s not all pretend we’re going to understand the rules on the day. I haven’t been to an Ayton (or any other LAW gathering) where that happened!

Hey we managed Kumbyla without an umpire, and one print out of the rules that had a cursory glance by all the players...

How does that work in a big game with several players on each side?World2dave wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 4:49 pmThe latter, which keeps things interesting, and everyone involved.
I worry that the only way to make it work would essentially be to degenerate the game into a number of distinct one on ones...so essentially not one big game at all?
If you allow Brigades to go from one of those "zones" into a neighbouring one you could find a situation where one person was essentially taking on two armies with twice as many activations whilst whilst their neighbour had nothing to do.
Remember that CB likes to march his army the entire length of the table taking on multiple (confused) enemies as he goes.

I think you may have over-estimated the number of people who knew.....
